Tang dynasty-style horse sculptures are valuable due to their rich cultural symbolism as a representation of strength, status, and power, their exceptional artistic realism and dynamism, and their connection to the Tang Dynasty's "golden age" of cosmopolitan culture and military might. These factors make both authentic Tang sculptures and high-quality reproductions desirable as historical artifacts and decorative pieces.

This is a large vintage (age unknown) Chinese Tang Dynasty style war horse sculpture weighing (approximately) 15.7 pounds. It is my assumption that this horse is molded of ceramic or terracotta or a ceramic-resin combination. It is quite solid and heavy. It is in overall great condition with a few chips to the base of the horse (as shown in photos). In my opinion, this does not falter its aesthetic beauty.
